Greider Lakes Day Hike

Panorama view of upper Greider lake

Greider Lakes makes for a perfect day hike or a simple backpacking trip. Total miles is 8.6 round trip miles. The trail starts out very flat as it scurries along Spada Lake and only gains maybe 200 ft or so until you hit the turn off for Greider Lake.
Spada Lake

The turn off for the lake is found on the right side of the trail with an old outhouse that marks the spot. Once on the Greider Lakes trail the climb starts. But all the switchbacks are well worth it!!
Make sure not to stop at the lower lake as the upper lake is much more impressive. I had no luck fishing for the hour i had my line in the water but several online fishing reports suggested the fishing to be very good.
This hike actually impressed me quite a bit and I'll probably come back for a backpacking trip soon.
